Everyone who I’ve encountered who really understands what cryptocurrencies are all about begins to notice very quickly that Monero is special.
Through our collective work on Monero, we also deepen our understanding of what this technology must remain true to, as well as how it must continue to change.
To that end, I’d like to toast the Monero community, primarily the team of stewards, the excellent MRL researchers (past and present), the endless list of dedicated and skilled developers such as moneromooo, hyc, vtnerd, cslashm, anonimal, (can’t possibly list everyone of note), as well as the other connected community members like rehrar, stoffu, sgp, ErCiccione, Isthmus, nioc, gingeropolous, iDunk, dEBRUYNE who’ve put in countless hours, and blood, sweat, and tears to contribute to the community vibe, to research, to development, to events, to user support, to FFS/CCS funding, and most importantly, to the guiding principles behind what makes this project special.
I’d also like to thank and congratulate the people who are actually using Monero to get paid, and to pay for items in real life. I personally believe there will be a turning point when Monero has established enough of a circular economy. Imagine being able to use Monero for your daily purchases!
We all know we’re working on an incredible future together by way of a unique project. This is the sort of project, made by a perfect storm of circumstances and high quality people, that the world sees only once in a blue moon.
I, along with the rest of the MyMonero team, would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for remaining true to what we know Monero embodies and for sticking it out through the hardships that we must undergo in order to see the change we’re all fighting for. I’m proud of y’all!
Happy birthday Monero!!! 🎉🥂🎆🎇
